"Fraudulent Company, a total scam, BEWARE!"

I called this company thinking they were Microsoft (which he told me they were). I allowed him to have access to my computer, and then he took control for about 45 minutes and suddenly I couldn't view my screen. Then he told me all of my vital systems were not running (which he showed me). Then he told me my computer was highly infected and he needed to clean it. He then brought up a screen asking me for personal info and wanted my credit card number (RED FLAG WENT UP). So, I became very suspicious, then asked him again if I had called Microsoft, he insisted yes. Then I told him to hand up and call me back, because I wanted to view the number he was calling from. He insisted the name and number would show up as Microsoft and he then demanded my card info FIRST. I said no, so he called me back and it showed up as unknown name and number. I knew something was wrong, then questioned him... And he then still insisted he was Microsoft and made up some BS that the reason the number did not show up as Microsoft was because a problem with my phone. FINALLY, he said "we are partners of Microsoft". I said "NO THANKS" and hung up.
I then noticed HE had turned off some of my security features and programs, and messed with my setting. He had also installed something on my computer so he could gain remote access without my knowledge. I called the ACTUAL Microsoft company and spoke to someone there. They investigated the site www.myphonesupport.com and confirmed this site is not only a scam, but in trouble with Microsoft's legal department because Microsoft has NO "partners" and they were using false advertisement, they were also illegally using the Microsoft logo on their site.
The man from Microsoft went on to my computer and confirmed that this scam artist had gone on to my computer and changed settings, AND installed malicious software AND installed something on to my computer that would allow them to gain access without my knowledge!!!
BEWARE, stay AWAY from this company, they are a total SCAM. -
"LIES AND NO PRIVACY"

They cleaned my computer fast.
Cons
They lied about having so many problems before you pay and then the tech told me that it was false. You also have NO PRIVACY when putting in all your info INCLUDING CARD NUMBERS during payment. They are still connected and see all.
Summary
So... I accidently called them thinking they were Microsoft. I explained my situation that I thought I had a virus. And so they make me download from "LogmeinRescue" a program that allows them to have access to my laptop. And so the whole time, I can watch what they are doing, while on the phone with them. SO the first person downloads trial versions of antivirus programs and has them show me alllllll the viruses and goes into the past actions, showing the errors: the times Programs fail and freeze. And so, she persuades me it's a LOT to fix. and then makes me pay. She kept hassling me to buy the yearly plan for 300, which I didn't. The one time fee cost 110 dollars. What I didn't like was that the whole time I was putting my information: EVERYTHING. They were connected. Even my card numbers. I asked and they always said it was safe and changed the subject... Then I was sent to the technician who simply used a program to clean it quickly and that was all.... (And so After the technician said to show her which viruses. And I just told her what the other woman said and said that the free antiviruses just say that to make one buy the programs

Their are no posotive things I could say about my experience with this company.
Cons
When I did a WEB search for MS Office contact number their phone number came up. I called to try to get a problem fixed With Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010. When the service representative answered I asked if i was speaking to a Microsoft Office Technical support person, the person on the line replied yes and after spending approximately 1 hour on the phone with him, he told me all kinds of problems with my computer. Then started trying to sell me a protection plan and was very pushy trying to get me to purchase a protection plan even though I stated that I already had a protection plan with another service. Then at this point I asked again if i was speeking to a Microsoft Technical representative, this is when he said no he was with MyPhonesupport.com.
Summary
Misleading in initial Greeting and presentation. Pushy insistance very unpleasing. I defintely would not recomend having any kind of dealings with this company.

Pros
Toll free number, Microsoft certified technicians, very patient and polite. They fixed a bug that was causing my PC to turn off on it's own occasionally and also installed some printer drivers I couldn't find.
Cons
It's outsourced to India but the accents weren't as bad as i thought when i initially heard them speak. They actually spoke very good English and they were very nice.
Summary
I purchased the One year, 3 PC's plan so for $300 bucks they can fix anything wrong with them and you can call anytime. As long as i don't run into any hardware problems they can provide help. They can install software, remove viruses, fix bugs, run drivers and repair spammed email accounts.
