As its moniker suggests, this electronic diary lets you keep and encrypt personal journals on your computer, but it isn't very intuitive to use.
My Eyes Only Digital Journal has a bland interface with a couple of features and functions for jotting down your daily thoughts and experiences. Your self-selected secret phrase and password keep your entries under wraps. You'll find a variety of tools to tweak the font style of your entries. You can also insert pictures and doodles, create customized headers, or save journals as non-encrypted documents. With Hide My Journal, you can select a text file to quickly appear in place of your journal, to throw off nosy onlookers.
While most of the tools worked fairly well during our assessment, it wasn't immediately clear how to store and access previous entries. Additionally, entries are not labeled by subject but by the time they are written. The trial version lets you create only up to 30 entries and lacks search and print capabilities. Overall, some may like what My Eyes Only Digital Journal brings to the table, but others may want a more competent and easier-to-comprehend electronic diary.
My Eyes Only is a private journaling or diary program that has many neat features, not the least of which is that all your private journal entries are stored in strong encrypted files so that even the most computer-savvy sibling, parent, spouse, or co-worker can't get into your most private writing.
Features: strong encryption of all your journal entries. (keeps prying eyes out of your journal), cool user interface with customizable backgrounds and colors. Doodle pad and drag-and-drop pictures in your entries. Multiple entries in one day, calendar entry finder, text in virtually any font, font size, and color. Ability to use on a USB jump drive so you can take your journal with you on the go.
