Do, a deer, a female deer. Re, a royal software headache? Music should be fun, not a chore. Though MusicGoals by Eye and Ear is a robust program with plenty of features for the budding musician, as a piece of software it's poorly designed and hard to use. For starters, the interface is troublesome, with far too many buttons, which gets confusing. Be sure to check out the program tutorial before diving in. The look and feel of stave notation is blocky and unattractive. You can choose from a large set of exercises, but locating them and building ones that suit your specific needs are headache-inducing. Though the 21-day trial is limited, it may be sufficient for discovering whether this program is right for you. Not the best bet for struggling beginners, MusicGoals is robust but a tough learn.Publisher's description
From Singing Electron :Ear training, sight reading, and music theory are applied to piano, guitar, violin, viola, cello, and bass. MusicGoals offers study, practice, and testing to improve skills, to gain knowledge of instruments and music theory, and to train the musical ear. This program was designed for musicians of all ages, from beginners to the very advanced. Courses for each instrument are provided, or custom routines may be set up to meet specific needs.
Version 1.6 includes extended courses, a new help system, and additional ear-training courses.

"Best Music Theory SOFTWARE.. Read below.."
Pros: Music should be fun? yea sure... but this is for majoring students...not some music disco dance game.. ITS A MUSIC THEORY! and did you say CHORE!?... you editors are awfully rude and pure disgusting..nobody will leave their software to this site if the editors keeps up like this.. CHORE!? Its called A STUDY! You don't major music so it may seem like that to you lame editors but Music Theories are STUDIES.. They are not meant to be fun! If you editors are looking for fun in a music theory.. Then just quit. Nobody thinks Music Theory is fun! But Majoring Students need it.. Its important. And did you say headache?! oF COURSE a pathetic people like you who don't know anything about music..Its called a STUDY..Studying music theory is not EASY! It will take alot of stress and effort! And did you say poorly designed? Why is that important? Its a serious study focused on theories! Do you think stressed out people learning care about the plain design!? NO! but people like you do.. who have nothing to do with the software Since you editors don't know anything about music and majoring etc..
And did you say hard to use? People who publish software and send to this site are more hard to send because of brain-washed people like you.. LET THE USERS RATE.. JUST SHUT UP AND STAY STILL! users actually have real reason when they download a software! SO LET THEM RATE! NOT YOU! aww.. I FEEL SORRY for musicgoals.. they put so much effort and they just get false criticize from a music-blind freak ..Detracting customers who really need help and they just pass this one by because of the lame editors.. Bet many companies are suffering through this same problem...One of these days..Editors will be a big problem..Man so much more to say.. but it'll take many hours and probably won't fit..And by the way beginners can't and or not allowed to study music theory..lame..
AND IF YOU EDITORS DELETE THIS.. You are proving me right that you guys a just cheap-nothing to say freaks.. bECAUSE IM RIGHT..

"A ridiculous, overly complicated software program"
Pros: It looks like the authors of this program put a lot of work into this program. It has some nice graphics.
Cons: This is an excellent example of a situation where someone has a taken a relatively simple idea (the idea of learning music theory and sight reading) and turned it into something complicated and almost bigger than life.
First, I studied music theory in the days before the personal computer existed. The younger people reading this are probably thinking "How ever did you do that?". I did it with books, a piano, and a metronome. Yes, my friends, it's really that simple.
There is no doubt that studying music theory is truly a STUDY!..Don't misunderstand, the study of music theory is very involved and takes a long time and a lot of discipline. But, in my opinion, using the MusicGoals software program (in it's present form) only serves to cause the whole process to become even more time consuming and complicated.
I do, however, appreciate the idea behind and the reason why (I think) this program was created. Perhaps my opinion of this program would be more favorable if it were simplified and made to be more user friendly.
