Pros: In addition to CD and LPs, Music Label can scan your HD and removable media for digital music files and automatically catalog them. For users with very large multimedia collections, Music Label can handle them with ease since it is built upon a real relational database (Firebird). There are various options for exporting the database, a reporting engine that outputs first class reports and a nice statistics engine to display a graphical representation of your collection.
Cons: I must admit that it was a initially a chore five years ago when I entered my 1500 CD collection into Music Label. Each CD had to be scanned by Music Label, one at a time, as it fetched title and track info from CDDB, saving me from having to enter these details from the keyboard. Since then, I have purchased roughly another 2000 CDs and found it quite easy to add these new purchases to keep the database up to date.
