From AxBx :Multi Virus Cleaner is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove major viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when cleaning infected systems. Multi Virus Cleaner is regularly updated and can detect hundreds of common viruses, worms, Trojans, and dialers (including all variants of the Sober, MyDoom, Nyxem and Bagle viruses). The program offers a scanner that requires minimal processing power for repairing a compromised system. Multi Virus Cleaner detects over 5,500 viruses variants.
Multi Virus Cleaner can also scan memory (active processes). Version 7.5 includes the latest definitions.

Version: Multi Virus Cleaner 2007 7.5
"Appears to be a decent programme."
Pros: Nice clear easy interface. Not much more to say about it.
Cons: I downloaded this because I had been suffering with trojans GWO, GHL & HAI (these were detected by Avast but kept returning after deletion)I was hoping to find the offending file which was causing this problem. This product did not find any malicious files but found a false positive file namely 'EICARTEST' which is part of the AVG Anti Spyware programme and safe. 'Be careful what you delete'. I also found that you could not manually update the virus database every few days like a lot of the other free spyware progs.
