This neat little utility provides you with a log of your Firefox cache folder, with a nice range of simple options to view and save the information.
MozilliaCacheView doesn't require installation you just run the .exe file and it opens a single-pane window, much like a browser window, with a few buttons and a menu bar at the top. The interface is plain but functional and simple to use.
This free utility performed very well in all our tests. We refreshed the view and it quickly listed the contents of our Firefox cache, including Filename, Content Type, URL, File Size, Fetch Count, date and time stamps for Last Modified and Last Fetched, and more. We were able to select a filename and click a button to open it in a new browser window. It was a bit odd that this Firefox utility opened the file in Internet Explorer (which isn't our default browser). We also were able to select other cache folders to read, save the log, and select info according to its display column.
This is a nice, simple utility that works well. Its offered free of charge and any user can operate it.
MozillaCacheView is a small utility that reads the cache folder of Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape Web browsers, and displays the list of all files currently stored in the cache. For each cache file, the following information is displayed: URL, content type, file size, last modified time, last fetched time, expiration time, fetch count, and server name.
