Even though Internet Explorer dominates the Web browser market, you might wonder why if you spend some time with Mozilla Firefox. This light and nimble Web wonder brought tabbed browsing into the mainstream (IE7 recently jumped on the bandwagon) and offers countless ways to customize it through extensions and themes. Drag-and-drop tabs with individual close buttons help keep your content organized the way you like, and you can further streamline your browsing through the use of extensive hot keys. You'll find all of the regular options and features required for surfing the Web in the default setup, but the groundbreaking features come with the thousands of third-party extensions. Likewise, if you don't like the look of the default interface, there are hundreds of slick themes to use, though many weren't updated for version 2 at its release.
Firefox is the perfect browser for those involved with Web design and coding. A JavaScript debugger comes standard, and Firefox displays the page-source code in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags similar to an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker works great for most sites, and new antiphishing protections and enhanced security for extensions are in the version 2 release. Anyone looking for a full-featured browser with seemingly endless ways to customize should download this powerhouse.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.5
Pros: Firefox is the most impressive browser available. This browser is secure, and it is FAST. Pages load in Firefox almost immediately. The tabbed browsing ability that Firefox offers, as well as the showcase capability make this browser a real dream, and very easy to use. Firefox even has an inline spell checker for when you fill in forms online, or when you are blogging.
The real power in Firefox, however, lies in its extensions. It offers so many opportunities for customization that other browsers completely lack. With Firefox, you can have a browser that is truly yours. The downloadable extensions allow you to customize the browser to do exactly what you need. For example, my Firefox has an extension that allows me to track shipping by highlighting a tracking number and right clicking. I also have a media player, a download toolbar, colored tabs, and a program that even previews links in miniature browser windows before I open them. My all-time favorite add-on so far is the google browser sync. It allows you to keep your bookmarks, cookies, history, etc. all synchronized across all of the Firefox browsers that you use. This extension literally saved my sanity when I bought a new laptop and had to migrate my settings over from my old desktop PC.
Firefox is now my main browser. I only use IE when I absolutely have to...and guess what? Now you can switch rendering engines and view IE pages in Firefox. This is simply the best browser by far. Nothing compares period.
Cons: Firefox can be a bit of a resource hog sometimes. The vast majority of extensions available may intimidate some into not fully exploring the full functionality of the browser. Other than that, I see no flaws in this amazing piece of software.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.5
Pros: The new update is really good, it has improved net browsing tremendously, it has good tab browsing, pop up blockers, included google search, good security and high eficiency. I prefer it over IE7 or opera or any other browser.
Cons: Some old themes and extensions might not work with it. It still does not seem to have the proper pause option in its download adapter (dap is the best solution to it). I think its a fraction slower in starting than its older versions.

Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.5
Pros: I'm sticking to Firefox even after trying out the latest version of IE... (good upgrade on IE though... lots of improvements.) Guess I'm more comfortable with Firefox's interface and features.
Cons: It still freezes and crashes from time to time, but it's not such a big deal when the program automatically saves your session so that you can restore it later.
