CNET Editors' review
Read CNET senior editor Rob Vamosi's extended review of Firefox 2, or watch a video tour of the new features.
Even though Internet Explorer dominates the Web browser market, you might wonder why if you spend some time with Mozilla Firefox. This light and nimble Web wonder brought tabbed browsing into the mainstream (IE7 recently jumped on the bandwagon) and offers countless ways to customize it through extensions and themes. Drag-and-drop tabs with individual close buttons help keep your content organized the way you like, and you can further streamline your browsing through the use of extensive hot keys. You'll find all of the regular options and features required for surfing the Web in the default setup, but the groundbreaking features come with the thousands of third-party extensions. Likewise, if you don't like the look of the default interface, there are hundreds of slick themes to use, though many weren't updated for version 2 at its release.
Firefox is the perfect browser for those involved with Web design and coding. A JavaScript debugger comes standard, and Firefox displays the page-source code in a new window, using indents and color-coded tags similar to an HTML editor. The built-in pop-up blocker works great for most sites, and new antiphishing protections and enhanced security for extensions are in the version 2 release. Anyone looking for a full-featured browser with seemingly endless ways to customize should download this powerhouse.

"I Love It"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4
Pros
I just love all the options I get by downloading plugins. Like VideoDownloader, FormFiller, MPC, Session Fix, PDF Download, History Submenus, Fullerscreen. Forecastfox, FoxyTunes, Calcuator, the genius Hyperwords and so on . . . . . I can tweak It just like I want it. Not just the look of it, but how It will behave. And if some pages won`t work with Firefox (like some Windows pages), I just use Launchy to switch It to IE on the exact page.
Cons
It`s a little bit slow to start, but I can live with that, because it has so many useful plugins

"Some problems, but overall a great browser"
Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4
Pros
1. Loads of extensions are available to converts it into a browser-***-everything application.
2. Some great themes are available on the Internet.
2. Good browsing speed
4. A great degree of customizing can be done.
Cons
1. Starts slowly. Not among the list of quick starting browsers.
2. Often all your settings, themes and extensions get reset. And this means that all your personalized settings like bookmarks etc get wiped out too.

"It's not the fastest opening browser but I like it."
Version: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.4
Pros
It pages fast and I feel secure using it. No browser is perfect or 100% safe, especially if you go to bad websites. This browser has lots of customizations available including themes and add ons. I like the "Dark Waters" theme and "Foxy Tunes" the best. This is a nice free web browser powered by "Google" which is my default search engine anyway. It works great on "XP" and Vista". I use "Firefox" and recommend it.
Cons
Slow to load and it won't run "Windows Updates". No other cons that I can see.
