Though it's difficult to unseat Safari as the preferred browser of Mac users, Mozilla Firefox garners attention through its solid design and extra features, making it a worthy alternative. Its nimble and uncluttered interface houses only the most necessary features, with the option to easily add customized toolbars. Mozilla Firefox claims to be the fastest of all browsers, and while our tests have never yielded a huge difference in speed, we do know the more we use Firefox, the more we like it. We especially like the tabbed browsing, the handy extensions, and the cool-looking skins offered at the Firefox Web site. Also, Firefox seamlessly blocks unwelcome pop-up advertisements without requiring the download of any additional software. If you're looking for a light and agile browser or like the idea of customizable skins and useful extensions, you owe it to yourself to check out Firefox. "I was auto-upgraded into this horrid disaster of a version"
Pros: None
Cons: After I was auto-updated into this new version I received a message (THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PRESENTED TO ME BEFORE THE UPGRADE!!!) that the new version doesn't support java. Now I cannot login into my yahoo email! Great!

Pros: Firefox is a great browser, but this new version stinks.
Cons: It's buggy and slow. The basic features that made Firefox the best browser don't work correctly now. Wait to upgrade to 2.0 later. If they don't provide patches soon I'm going to reinstall an older version.

"An excellent alternative to Safari"
Pros: Having used safari for a while and encountered a few issues with websites not presenting themselves correctly I found that these issues so far have not happened with Firefox. Also I think the Firefox browser is better presented and easier to use and of course it's free, which is nice.
Cons: haven't met a con yet whilst using it
