Display information about your monitor with this handy freeware executable. MonitorInfoView's simple spreadsheet-style view cleanly displays pertinent facts about your monitor. The program lacks a Help file, but most users will quickly pick up the few commands.
On execution, MonitorInfoView immediately displays monitor information found in the Extended Display Identification Data records in your Windows Registry. This includes not only your current monitor, but any used previously. The program includes standard monitor information such as serial number, maximum resolution, frequencies, and image size. You can also find your monitor's manufacture week, registry key, and other interesting but seldom-used data. Controlling the data display is very easy. You can quickly choose which columns display or have the program autofit each displayed column. To resort by column you double-click the column header. Unfortunately, you can't change font or text size. Saving all or partial data to HTML or text file takes just a mouse click.
This freeware utility is quick, accurate, and has a small footprint. Those looking to quickly ferret monitor information would do well to add MonitorInfoView to their system tool selection.

From NirSoft Freeware :MonitorInfoView is a small utility that displays essential information about your monitor: manufacture week/year, monitor manufacturer, monitor model, and supported display modes. The information is extracted from the EDID (Extended display identification data) records stored on your computer. You can also view the monitor information of multiple computers on your network, if you login to these computers with administrator rights.
