I've literally tried just about every data extraction/recovery tool out there, but never seen anything like this little app. On a recent hard drive, NONE of my normal tricks or tools even SAW the data on the crashed drive. After trying unsuccessfully with just about all the other programs on CNET, I tried MiniTool. Not only did it see the files, it previewed them for me, and best of all, SAVED them! This thing is INCREDIBLE! THANK YOU MiniTool!!! I have a new favorite application.

A free tool, with great speed in recovery, a must have tool if you are a geek. Its free and some good people keep it alive with donation. I donated $1 :). Do not pay heavy prices to get crap tools which take too much time to recover data. This is the best software I have seen for data recovery.

Had a hard drive that was failing, but still able to spin up somewhat, drive did even show up in my computer! Using the recover lost partition option in this program, I was able to get thousands of files from it. If you need data back, try this!

None that I can think of.

I added some pictures using Nero on a CD that had pictures on it, Multi session. Well a few pictures vanished. I have tried every program to recover them and nothing worked. Minitool found them. I like this product so much I am going to buy it.:):)

Everything about it. It is easy and user-friendly. I agree with a previous review, it took less than five minutes to download and find everything on the card, even things that were purposely deleted months and months ago.
Cons
It didn't find one AVI file, but it was still on the card in normal format so I was able to transfer it over.
Summary
All of our first family vacation pics were gone for who-knows-what-reason. I tried pnadora with no success and VAIOSystems recovery with no success.
This program is great. My wife was crying one moment and estatic the next.

I have downloaded tons of programs from this and other sites in the past and this is the first time I felt it necessary to stop and actually become a registered member just so that I can write a review.
Here's the scenario: I took some pics and video of a Halloween parade at my kids' school using my Samsung Epic 4G phone. I went to work that day, got bored, and started flipping through my phone deleting unwanted stuff. When I went to view the Halloween pics and video I realized I had accidentally deleted everything. To make matters worse, I started to video my office to test if the phone was actually saving any recorded video. Now this is a no no because if you delete something by accident you should refrain immediately from saving anything else on the drive because the deleted info may be overwritten and make it much more difficult to recover. Anyways I woke up early this morning and started searching for a good undelete program that was free. The other programs I saw had free trials with restrictions such as limited recovery bytes (some as small as 64kb - gimmie a break). I know I was working with at least 1 gig worth of data so things looked grim. then I found this program.
I downloaded the program, installed it, went the rough the steps, and just like that everything I had deleted (both intentionally and unintentionally), appeared on the screen. I chose what I wanted to recover, and in less than two minutes almost 1 gig of data was safely recovered - 100% in tact! The total time from install of the program to file recovery was literally under five minutes. To give you some background my phone uses a 16 gig SD card exclusively for data and is connected to my laptop via USB so the laptop treats it as an external hard drive. I thought I would have had to remove the SD card from the phone but the program worked through the USB connection. I am now in lala land because these priceless memories are back and I can?t wait until my wife (who was very disappointed) wakes up so I can show here the pics and videos. The only reason why this program didn't get 5 stars was because I am afraid that would stop the developers from trying to make it even better. The program works!!!! -

Tried to recover data from a DVD but it ended with data in MDOS format and was not able to use the data. Did not reflect what it was suppose to do.
