Publisher's description of Mineral Miner
From MJK Games:In Mineral Miner the goal is to collect natural resources, refine and sold them for the biggest possible profit. Player must search the playfield for new deposits of iron/coal/oil/gold and keep an eye on the varying market prices of the different resources. Also the distance to the target, fuel costs and repairing costs must be taken into consideration. The resource will be refined at the HQ and sold after leaving the HQ. Gained funds come from the refined resource units multiplied by the current market value of an unit.
With the money you've got, you're able to upgrade your vehicle for faster mining, bigger fuel load or bigger resource storage space. Likewise, you can buy upgrades for your HQ that result in faster unloading of the resources from the vehicle to the market. The playfield is occasionally occupied by hostile terrorists who will try to damage your vehicle and the HQ. You need to pay attention to the energy levels and repair them when needed.

Version: Mineral Miner 1.01
Pros: It has some original concept: you drive a small car around and bring some resources to the base. The goal is to upgrade the car and earn cash. The music is fine, but it's the only good side.
Cons: Lots of. First, the game itselft is boring. I wonder if anyone would be interested in endless collecting of minerals and refueling the vehicle. The graphics are very primitive. At least the car itself could be better than just two rectangulars one inside the other. In the game there are enemy vehicle which shoot at your base, but you can't shoot at them. You can only repair your base, which means that can ignore those vehicles and just repair the base regularly. Controlling the vehicle is not easy, cuz it can't turn around while standing still. While collecting minerals you make useless curcles around. Maybe if there were many mining cars under control and some fighting units, it could be good. But playing as a miner is just plain stupid.
