    "Do not like"

    April 05, 2013   |   By jezzionkori

    Version: Microsoft Lync 2010 7577.0

    Pros

I don't have to use it at home.

    Cons

I've tried using this with clients and have had dropped calls, can't give control to others. Could just be my set-up, but it's a company requirement to use lync and going away from webex. i prefer webex over lync any day.

    Summary

    ick

"This program is Messenger on steroids!"

    February 04, 2013   |   By QuiltBlocks

    Version: Microsoft Lync 2010 7577.0

    Pros

Many avenues of communication from chatting to video conferencing to sharing your desktop. Great for training or discussions with people who are not all located in the same location. Easy to use.

    Cons

Have to setup up meetings beforehand in Outlook and this is only a problem if your business is not using Outlook as it's default mail program.

    Summary

I have used this program to quickly as a question of a colleague in another state and have attended training on different topics. The presenter can share their desktop, a whiteboard, conduct a survey - all from within Lync. I love it.

    "OK, typical Microsoft product"

    June 01, 2012   |   By candide08

    Version: Microsoft Lync 2010 7577.0

    Pros

    IM, Video and phone collaboration.

    Cons

Conflicts with Webex, Cisco IP Communicator and other products that use microphone and/or headsets. Very prone to errors over VPN.

    Summary

Works best if there are no other phone/IM products running.
