Publisher's description
From Michal Pleban :Michau''s Battery Meter is probably the only PalmOS utility that tells you how long your battery will last until you need to recharge it. Need to use your PDA for a long time without a charger? Check if your batteries won''t dry out before you finish your work! Another feature is the battery icon in menu bar. Now you will be able to know your battery status in all applications, any time! Just see below how it works: Open your menu bar, and you will see an icon indicating your battery level. You can do this in any application - no need to switch to application launcher in order to see the battery status! Also, on some handhelds (like Zire 21) the launcher does not show the battery level when charging - here you can see it too! Select the icon with your stylus, and you will see the battery level with one percent accuracy. No more need to guess what the level exactly is! Tap the battery icon on the menu bar, and a dialog will pop up to show you the battery level and time your PDA will continue to run before you need to charge it again. If you plan to use your handheld for some time, it is the only program that will let you know how long you can work! Note: Battery time prediction requires calibrating your battery. To do this, launch the application and select Calibrate... from the menu. During calibration, your battery will be discharged by 15% and the application will record the time it took. This measurement will be then used to predict battery time. The calibration process can take several hours, and you will not be able to use your handheld until it finishes. Your Palm will turn off automatically when the calibration finishes. On new PDAs, it is recommended that you discharge and charge fully your battery before calibrating, because battery indicator tends to be very inaccurate on new batteries.Alternatively, under PalmOS 5 you can use live battery measurement. This option will measure your battery usage as you go, adopting in real-time to your current battery usage. You don''t need to calibrate the battery when using this option, but you need to use your PDA for some time until enough measurements are gathered. Please note that battery time prediction can differ a bit from real performance, due to differences in battery usage. The trial download contains full-featured application version that will run for 10 days. After that period, you must register your application.
