Memory Usage Getter is a utility that allows you to monitor the memory and CPU usage of all open applications and background processes under Mac OS X. It presents all apps and processes in a single table, or it can automatically separate out your user's processes from other user processes and separate them into three tabs for easier viewing. Memory Usage Getter is also designed to allow easy visual assessment of how much memory and CPU is being used, by presenting bar graphs representing the memory and CPU usage of each process directly in the tables, and by presenting an overall memory usage bar graph in each window as well as in the Dock icon, if desired. Memory Usage Getter can also present a history window for individual processes to allow you to keep track of the memory and CPU usage over time with a graph for each. Furthermore, logging of memory and CPU usage statistics can be activated for a single process or for all processes. But these aren't the only features offered in Memory Usage Getter: others include one-click revealing of apps and processes in the Finder, the ability to set the priority or to kill processes in Mac OS X, and even dedicated keystrokes to killing the most frequently used programs like the Finder, the Dock, the right side of the menu bar, the Classic Environment, and even Front Row.
