Though MemoriesOnTV suffers from a few interface quirks, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens. Time-saving tools, such as image- and scene-transition editors, are cleverly presented only as they're needed in the authoring process. The software's extremely linear interface can make single-slide and transition design a cumbersome process, however. Customization for DVD menus also is limited, allowing little more than power over background and chapter images. Even with the limited control, however, the end result is impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.Publisher's description
From CodeJam :MemoriesOnTV allows you to create professional slideshows easily from your digital photos and video clips. The video you create can be burnt onto CD/DVD recordable using the built-in burner and then played on a TV via a standard DVD player. You can also output your show to web pages (flash), or save them as AVI or MPG files. MemoriesOnTV's strength is in its visual effects. You can have effects such as multi-pictures on single slide, slideshow in slideshow, text caption animation, or Ken Burns pan/zoom effects.
Version 4 adds creation of Motion Menus and ability to mask and overlay photos with shapes & borders.

"Easy to Use, Professional results"
Pros: This slide show maker, may look simple ( which it is to use all features) but don't let it fool you. I get very professional DVD's produced with control over all aspects of the import, timing movement effects( Ken Burns effects too), transitions, music with minor editing abilities fro timing to the show beautifully. The menu process is a breeze. The burning process has good control and gives you many options.
I have nothing to do with the software or company except to be a happy user from version 1.o and watched it grow and mature. Yes there are still some short comings, small selection of menu background supplied ( although you can use your own) Chapte markers appear to be missing as yet, and using long videos has been problematic at best.
The best part is when you see the high quality results on you TV or computer screen. It looks fantastic on my Hi Def large screens also, yes it will also do 16:9. Compared to many others including Adobe poremiere 3, and several others the ease of use, feature set, relibaility, and most important results make this one a winner at what aI feel is a very fair and some what low price.

Cons: needs a better selection of pre-made title pages to provide a more professional looking program.
