With MemoriesOnTV, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens.
The timeline view unifies the different aspects of the authoring process, allowing you to instantly set transition effects and preview how your slide show will run. Time-saving tools such as image- and scene-transition editors are cleverly presented as they're needed. For additional cost, you can download slide shows called ClipShows, which come with transition effects built-in; you just replace the sample images with your own.
On the negative side, customization for DVD menus is somewhat limited, allowing little more than power over background and placement of control buttons. Despite that shortcoming, the end results are impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.
Publisher's description
From CodeJam :MemoriesOnTV allows you to create professional slideshows easily from your digital photos and video clips. The video you create can be burnt onto CD/DVD recordable using the built-in burner and then played on a TV via a standard DVD player. You can also output your show to web pages (flash), or save them as AVI or MPG files. MemoriesOnTV's strength is in its visual effects. You can have effects such as multi-pictures on single slide, slideshow in slideshow, text caption animation, or Ken Burns pan/zoom effects.
Version 3.1.8 fixes a B&W/grayscale picture crashing bug. Also fixes a bug with accented characters in EXIF description.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.1.8
"A simple, precise software but need more advanced features"
Pros: This is a simple and easy to use utility to convert your photos into a DVD or into some video file; You can add your own audio to the images and make the video. This is a very good piece software for the amateur video morphers and editors.
The good thing is that it provides a lot of customizations along with the software only. The built in burning cds and dvds is a an added option. You can also make an image for the album and many more. A worth trying software. There are plenty of transition effects options
Cons: The watermark irritates you even if it is a trial version also. It lacks advanced features. The mpeg video creation will take consume a lot of time.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.1.8
Pros: I've used various other Picture to TV programs on trial versions and this was the one that jumped out above all others. Its very user friendly, especially for a once novice like me. There are plenty of transition effects options and video/audio editing tools, plus a nice set of tutorials on their website. The creators are also very accessible through email. I will continue to wow family and friends with some of my picture videos.
Cons: The mpeg creation process takes a bit longer than I would like, but maybe that's normal. Once you've created a disc image though, the burning part is fast. Don't see an option to create an animated DVD main menu (like you see in regular movies you buy).

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.1.8
Pros: STOP at this one if you are looking for this sort of program. After downloading NUMEROUS "Photo to DVD "trials.....
Memories on TV OUTSHINES ALL OF THEM !! It's EASY to use with a very SMALL learning curve. I made an excellent PHOTO DVD in about 1 hour with over 100 snapshots ! It allows you to be as FANCY as you wanna be ! I was amazed at the "Built-in Burner" & WRITING SPEED also.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.1.8
Pros: I purchased Ver 3.1 Pro and ClipShow Vol 1 and was able to produce a very good travel show from one of our vacations. I used more than 400 slides and portions of 28 different sound tracks. I especially like the ease of getting the music exactly where I wanted it.
Cons: Documentation and tutorials were not logically presented, were very difficult to uncover, and were not the easiest to understand or follow. Trial and Error seems to be the only workable solution.
