With MemoriesOnTV, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens. The time-line view unifies the different aspects of the authoring process, allowing you to instantly set transition effects and preview how your slide show will run. Time-saving tools such as image- and scene-transition editors are cleverly presented as they're needed. On the negative side, customization for DVD menus is somewhat limited, allowing little more than power over background and placement of control buttons. Despite that shortcoming, the end results are impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.Publisher's description
From CodeJam :MemoriesOnTV allows you to create professional slideshows easily from your digital photos and video clips. The video you create can be burnt onto CD/DVD recordable using the built-in burner and then played on a TV via a standard DVD player. You can also output your show to web pages (flash), or save them as AVI or MPG files. MemoriesOnTV's strength is in its visual effects. You can have effects such as multi-pictures on single slide, slideshow in slideshow, text caption animation, or Ken Burns pan/zoom effects.
Version 3.0.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.0.2
Pros: I really do like the program itself. It makes really nice VCDs to share with family and friends. The transitions are smooth and seemless. I only have one MAJOR complaint about it...
Cons: They do NOT offer even one single free upgrade. I purchased this program approximately a year and two months ago, but since it was over a year old, I would have had to PAY for the new upgraded version (which I have the most previous release). It's aggravating to spend good money on what you think is a decent program, only to discover it'll cost you more $$$ down the line. At least offer ONE upgrade for FREE.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 3.0.2
Pros: Great transitions. Version 3 is much improved and now surpasses the competition.
Cons: Voice overs would be nice. however, the competition does not do that either

"Easy to use and to get near professional results"
Pros: Very user-friendly and well organised steps to make the final videos.
The Multi-Picture Slide is very easy to set-up, with it's multiple layout options, and creates a fantastic visual effect. Also the possibility of creating a "Slideshow in Slideshow" and it's result is fantastic.
Cons: Character-by-character text-effects fail to handle non-english (or non-international) characters. They simply not appear. This does not happen when the effect handles the whole text as one only object.
