Though MemoriesOnTV suffers from a few interface quirks, creating a DVD slide show packed with special effects is a walk in the park. The software divides each task, such as importing images and music, adding effects, and creating DVD menus, into separate screens. Time-saving tools, such as image- and scene-transition editors, are cleverly presented only as they're needed in the authoring process. The software's extremely linear interface can make single-slide and transition design a cumbersome process, however. Customization for DVD menus also is limited, allowing little more than power over background and chapter images. Even with the limited control, however, the end result is impressive. With a few minutes of work, you'll have an eye-catching slide show that will run on nearly any DVD player.Publisher's description
From CodeJam :MemoriesOnTV allows you to create a VideoCD or DVD with visual effects and music from your digital photos and video clips. It has true DVD authoring; the video you create can be burned onto CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, or DVD+R/RW using the built-in burner software and then played on a TV via a standard DVD player. You also can play the CD or DVD on a PC with a software DVD player installed. You can add text to your pictures, organize them into multiple albums (or subalbums), use pan and zoom functionality, and create a menu to navigate your albums. The original pictures or videos also can be stored on the same CD or DVD, so you can access them for printing at any time.
Version 2.2.0 adds the ability to export into DVDComposer for powerful and flexible menu editing.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 2.2
Pros: Never underestimate the power of the Ken Burns effect! ;) This program easily makes a better slideshow than many others because it automatically transitions photos with pan and zoom effects. This adds motion and an elegance to the slideshow that is hard to match with other programs. You can adjust transitions as needed to fit your show, but much of the hard work is done for you with the automated tasks this program does for you. It's definitely worth the asking price if you want to make quick, impressive slideshows with photos and music. Have used many times with no problems burning to DVD.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 2.2
"Buggy and unstable burning, and unresponsive support."
Pros: Creation of basic movies consisting of JPGS with accompanying MP3 soundtracks is broadly OK, but see below.
Cons: Latest version 2.2 just doesn't work properly. Conclusive evidence that major cause was that it does not erase rewritable discs, so far ignored. Support is poor. Based in Singapore, and inherent time zone problems made worse because they apparently look at incoming email only briefly once per day.
There are also many long-standing bugs and quirks. Promises to fix these not yet met, presumably while CodeJam focus on their more expensive product.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 2.2
"Good product if it had more features"
Pros: Excellent transitions and ease of use
Cons: Photo quality not very good, no built in burner for VCD - you must use nero, no player included on burning so it will not play back on a PC. I bought this a year ago and thought I would give it another try.....Good but still needs some improvement.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 2.2
"Easy Inexpensive Slideshow Tool"
Pros: Intuitive work flow especially with the photos loaded. Re-arranging is easy and takes no time at all. Ken Burns effects make slide shows much more interesting.
Cons: The play back review tool only starts at the first slide. If you're trying to check the changes you made to slide 200, it's very time consuming. Descriptive naming of files of MPEG output is not allowed.

Version: MemoriesOnTV 2.2
"Previews are Great! Burning is Impossible..."
Pros: If the product works like the preview, it would be well worth the price of admission!!!!!
Cons: Product keeps asking for download of undescribed software, error messages are not user friendly or intuitive...
