The hero of this story, the legendary Capcom robot-boy Mega Man, goes through a maze destroying monsters to reach the end of each level. A brilliant audio tutorial guides you as you play the hero.
Various mechanical creatures chase you around and try to destroy you. Mega Man can take out the evil robots by shooting them or even kicking them around, or deflect the bombs they throw right back at them. Sometimes a creature fails to avoid its own bomb launch and dies from the blast.
Downloading and installing Mega Man Legends seems to take years, but the game is worth it. The quest game is addictive. Although the graphics aren't outstanding, the design of the game is generally fine.
The biggest tease of the trial version is that it lasts only 15 minutes, which makes you rush to get the registered version and continue your robot adventure. Gamers and Mega Man fans will enjoy this quest, especially if they have broadband connections for the sizeable download.
