As a book, movie, or CD collector, it's easy to lose track of what's sitting on your overstuffed shelves. This simple database has a few shortcuts for keeping up with your belongings. Users can type in an ISBN number or keyword, and the software will query the Amazon.com database and return the associated information, making it a snap to add a new item to your database. The program even supports bar code scanners for collectors who want to avoid typing altogether. As easy as this is, we would like to see a feature that queries the online CDDB for music, as do most leading jukebox programs. The application also cries out for a better way to track borrowed items; individual entries can be marked as lent out, but the designation offers no ability to set future reminders. All told, we would happily recommend this straightforward tool to most users who want to organize their books and discs, although some collectors may want a program with more advanced features.
