Version: MediaMan 2.30.1
"Great Software...why the new charge?"
Pros: I love the ease that this software provides in terms of adding media to the collection. It is as simple as entering a barcode (if you have it), or a keyword. It uses Amazon.com to search, so you are likely to get what you are looking for. You can even get the appropriate covers for DVDs, VHS tapes, Video Games, CD's and more. It is very user friendly in form and function. You can display your collection as a standard list, or a virtual shelf. You can export your file information, too. This is great inventory software.
Cons: My minor con is that there is no way to enter in information for items like video game console hardware, or computer hardware, and the like. So you can enter in your video games, but you can't enter in the console you use to play them. My major problem with this software, and why it has gotten only three stars from me despite being excellent, is that it was previously FREE. Now they are only giving a thirty day trial, and asking close to $40 for it. I think that is unfair. If it was meant to be sold for so much money, then it should have been so from the beginning. I do not intend to pay for the new release.
