Even the most advanced antispyware security can't guarantee your computer's safety, because most programs scan your site for digital nasties after they've already taken root. This ingenious Firefox extension warns you about covert spyware and browser-hijack attempts as you visit a site.
SiteAdvisor operates as an unobtrusive signal in your browser interface, turning green if the site is safe, yellow if it's suspect, and red if it senses threats or annoyances. The same coding system applies to Yahoo and Google search results, inserting a red, yellow, or green icon next to each link. Clicking these icons provides full diagnostics of the sites' threats, including links to other suspect sites, high spam counts, and the number of dangerous downloads.
We also liked the URL highlighter, which displays site rankings directly from your search engine, helping deflect drive-by installs that may initiate as soon as you type a URL. In our tests, SiteAdvisor turned out accurate and reliable results, and though it doesn't have a wide array of features, we urge any regular Firefox user to try this no-cost extension.

Version: McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox 24
Pros: I love this program. It shows a coloured block in friefox, which acts as a link to security information about the page you're viewing. Green for safe, yellow for caution, red for unsafe or fraudulant and grey if the page hasn't been tested.
Cons: Not every page has been done, but it's getting harder to find untested pages.

Version: McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox 24
Pros: Firstly, its a free, small extension and that's how I like them to be. Doesn't require too much attention. Quietly goes Green, Red or Yellow depending upon the quality and of the site. The extension is quite stable, has never crashed on me and is not a memory hogger. Quite useful if you surf a lot of new websites often.
Cons: Well, in some cases the ratings of some websites are just plain wrong. So you might want to use your common sense also. But 90% of the cases, you'll do well following SiteAdvisor.

Version: McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox 24
Pros: Puts red, yellow, or green icons next to Google.ca, Google.com, MSN.com, and Yahoo.com searches. No other antiphishing tools that I have tried has this feature.

Version: McAfee SiteAdvisor for Firefox 24
Pros: It is wonderful because it gives you a green, yellow or red flag warnings depending if a site is green for safe to enter, yellow for possibly dangerous to enter, and red for unsafe and do not enter this site. It's free for unlimited use and worth trying it. It works fine without any problems on my Internet Explorer browswer.
