CNET Editors' review
This privacy-protection tool cleans your Internet traces, but the tightfisted trial limitation renders it useless. Max PC Privacy's basic main window is clear-cut. The program is designed to remove surfing history from a number of well-known browsers such as Internet Explorer, Opera, AOL, and Netscape. It's also supposed to clean traces from common system areas such as your temporary files, the clipboard, and Recycle Bin. We also like that Max PC Privacy offers specified file and folder cleanup and can wipe out free disk space to ensure that previously deleted files can't be recovered. Not only that, this application cleans the traces of popular instant messengers and e-mail clients as well. Advanced users will also appreciate the ability to activate and deactivate custom plug-ins. Unfortunately, Max PC Privacy disables its functional prowess during the trial, so we aren't able to tell just how well it works at cleaning anything. We'll have to put this stingy five-use trial back on the shelf since most users can find a comprehensive tool that allows for real testing.Publisher's Description
