Version: MasterCook Deluxe 9
"Excellent for recipe management, storing several hundred of my personal recipes"
Pros: Bargain - bought it for under $20, and converted from MicroKitchen (Lifestyles).
Very pleased with MasterCooks' GUI, and appreciate its reliablilty.
I haven't found anything better for value.
Cons: Some funtions like email content not intuitive; requires effort.

Version: MasterCook Deluxe 9
"Only 30 minute trial--not nearly enough time to evaluate."
Pros: I'm deciding whether to upgrade my MasterCook 3.0 which has several features I like, ability to see the entire month's meal plan, for one and great nutritional information secondly.
Cons: With just a 30 minute trial, not the 60 as advertised, you hardly have time to find your way around, it's not very intuitive for this experienced software user. I had time to open it, glance through the preferences, enter a couple of recipes (not nearly as easily as with BigOven) and then BAM, time's up.

"Wasn't able to tell from a 60 MINUTE FREE TRIAL!?!?!"
Pros: It looks interesting, but the trial is just stupid.
Cons: I've never even heard of a 60 minute trial. How about a 30 day trial or something reasonably standard.

Version: MasterCook Deluxe 9
"Try out is only 30 min., but that's all you will need"
Pros: Big Oven always gets the best reviews but I have found it difficult to search, then when you find a recipe you like it is difficult to save it and find it again. Master Cook is VERY user friendly, has online recipes and an EASY way to add your own.
Cons: Haven't found any yet
Summary: After wasting money on Accuchef and Big Oven, I've finally found what I want.
