An iPhone is many things, but a massage therapist it is not. However, if you're in a pinch, the lightweight app Massager may sooth you until your next appointment. The app takes advantage of the iPhone's vibrating motor to create four patterns based on Swedish, Shiatsu, deep muscle, and relaxation massage. Starting and stopping the massage are easy enough to accomplish by tapping and untapping the button. While you can manually increase the intensity by putting some muscle behind the iPhone's flat face, it doesn't even come close to what a pronged massager can do. Yet it might relax tension in you and yours, and at 99 cents, that's not a bad investment.

Version: Massager for iPhone 1.0.1
Pros: Easy to use interface, fun to show friends, has lots of "creative" uses, good information on real massages. Definitely worth 99 cents.
Cons: None that I can see.
Summary: This is an awesome app and is the best massage-related app on the App Store by far. The other massager apps look like knock-offs and has problems that are already documented in their user reviews. The Massager app is the best. I use it quite ofte... read more >>
