Masquerade is a heavy-duty run as utility, which helps you deploy applications that assume specific user access to other user accounts. Passwords are never revealed to other users and do not need to be entered at run-time. Administrators can give others access to run privileged applications without changing system security. All users can more easily choose how they expose themselves to unfamiliar applications or the Internet. Use Masquerade to build shortcuts and registry entries, and to document application settings for yourself or others. Masquerade manages application settings from a single, secure file to simplify deployment, and support password updates and an integrated backup of settings. Strong security includes: encryption of sensitive data, anti-tampering safeguards, authorized user verification, CRC fingerprinting, and deployment, which distributes no user names or passwords.
