Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning including networked drives, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

the cost of the paid version is neglible. i feel secure with it because it (paid version) has caught malware from sites that i would not have suspected of being malicious.

at the moment, i can think of no cons.

I have to manage 7 pc's all of them a regulary scan keep's the malware away, this is a must on all my pc's. Fantastic malwarehunter.

After years of use i can not find cons, on the contrarary without malwarebytes i can not surf freely on the net.
Summary
When sometimes malware get inside by fail from other protection, i send malwarebytes after them, when others talk about strange behaviour i order them to do a quick scan it takes 20 minutes and they have a free version, it keeps my pc's clean for years now i trust it and have faith in it.

This program restored my computer to full health in just one use after 2 days of trying every other program I could find to clear a really nasty infection. I wouldn't be without it and I recommend it to everyone.

I am paed user of the AVG, and when I saw it approved by AVG I was sure I could trust it. I have used nearly all of the paid and free versions of Anti-virus and I literally hated most of them, especially Norton. It was too confusing and complicated and definately not user friendly. I had to search through ever minute word on the Norton site for a phone number and finally found one after nearly 2 hours. It made me feel it wasn't a very trust worthy program if they aren't willing to put their contact information in plain view. I uninstalled Norton and ALL of the associated hidden files before my time was expired and bought the AVG. I have not had a single complaint after 4 years of use of the paid version, and I trust them 100%. If AVG put their support behind a program, I am going to trust them too.
After running this Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.40 free version, and it did not find any malware, I took a look at all of the features. Kudos to the designers of an easy program to understand. I now wonder if the designers were the same who designed the AVG. THANK YOU for designing this user friendly program. -

Finds latest Trojans and Fake Virus Alerts that mose AV packages miss, also found it removes many Rootkits. Has never let me/my customers down. Will remove registry entries left behind by other removal software

Demonstrates on behalf of the developers that very little research goes into this software as they continuously publish software that simply does not work, especially as advertised.
Summary
Don't believe the developer's hype and all these fake 5 star reviews. This software is abominable and highly ineffective. I have heard nothing but negative things about this software from the people I know who have heard of it and tried it. I have experienced nothing good with it from any of the previous versions and I can confirm this one is no better. Don't even bother downloading it.
