CNET Editors' review
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning including networked drives, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

"It worked when other things did not."
Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.36
Pros
effective, worked when a very good antivirus program did not.
Cons
none; it's great!
Summary
About 2 years ago there were "some people" "some organization" trying to block my access to certain sites of a politically truthful nature, and generally being successful. Comcast was my ISP, and they had the Norton antivirus package included, which was good. However, it was not stopping the problem. I called Comcast support, and they referred me to some contracting organization that was responsible for security problems that the ordinary Comcast personnel were not trained to handle. The lady suggested Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and the problem was resolved immediately. Repeated messages showed up, while using Malwarebytes Antimalware, that another "intrusion had just been blocked". These things happened to me mostly because of my involvement in New York 9/11 Truth activities, etc., such as the 3 videos I recorded of New York 9/11 Truth meetings below, and a number of other activities:
http://video.google.com/
http://video.google.com
http://video.google.com
I'm a medical doctor and had been working, on Thursdays, at an office 3 blocks away from the World Trade Center (130 William Street). Three of the patients that I was seeing died, and a 4th inactive patient, so I got very involved in New York 9/11 Truth, bought a Canon XL-2 video camera, Sony Vegas Pro, and put up the 3 videos above on Google video.
Because of that "intrusion" into my computer, I did file an online report with the FBI about it. I got no reply, no acknowledgement of my complaint, nothing. I also sent follow up mails about it and got nothing. Part of the reason for this is as follows: I'd gotten to know Ted Gunderson (retired (1979) former Los Angeles FBI Director, Senior Special Agent in Charge (SSAIC), Los Angeles Division, and his "Take Back America" organization and website, in 2003, and became very involved in it. (Incidentally, the person who did Ted Gunderson's website was murdered (throat slit) and you might wish to make a note of that. My involvement did result in 2 FBI "interviews" and what could have been a serious, high speed, car accident involving 3 other cars, two weeks after I'd gone to the National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) Public Hearing at the World Financial Center Marriott in New York City on 12 February 2004 and told them that they were "lying" in the afternoon session when public commentary was "permitted". The whole thing was a Big Lie with people, pretending to be the family members of people who had died, reading prepared, false statements about their "loss of a loved one" with about as much sincere emotion as would be expected from pretenders talking about "inadequate fire protection" and "inadequate cell phone communication"; I'd give them a D- to F rating for their "acting performances". Even more insulting was a white haired lapdog at the front (not Dr. Shyam Sunder) who was nominally in charge of the "public hearing", and whose apparent job was to bow his head (like a dog who had just wet the rug and was being berated by the owner) every time a phony family member read a phony statement blaming NIST for "bad cell phone communication" or "bad fire protection and/or protection standards".
I suspect that I got no response, or help, from the FBI because of something that Ted Gunderson had told me ~ 2004, right after the almost car "accident". Ted said that "They've got control of all the people at the top". Who "they" are is very interesting and the thing I'll say is that "they" have a lot to do with International Communism-New World Order, which is what this "One World Government" is all about. What's behind that is behind a facade, is a "puzzle in an enigma", and a "surprise within a surprise", or some things like that, as Winston Churchill had said.
Respectfully,
Robert B. Thorne, M.D.

"Excellent Program"
Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.36
Pros
Fast scanning, able to get rid of viruses quickly, more efficient than almost an other anti-malware I have ever used including those that require yearly subscriptions.
Cons
The fact I didn't know about this sooner.
Summary
I would have to say that I was very impressed at the way it was able to eliminate almost all the problems on my PC that I couldn't manually delete myself. I am very impressed, and I registered the product because of how effective it was.
I wish there were more communities and companies that focused on solving the problems rather than worrying about getting subscription prices. I hate trend micro and Norton for the way they work.
Well, this is how good they are right now, so in the future I hope it doesn't taper of like a lot of the other anti-malware programs. -

"Malwarebytes program"
Version: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.36
Pros
Last night I visited a weird sitr and got hit by a "fake Trojan" It is a program that forcifully loaded itself unto my computer and it kept nagging to buy their program since they had found that my computer contained 25 critical and severe trojans, there was no way to ignore it and when I tried to remove the the program through the "remove program' on the control panel it told me that I needed to obtain a security Key Code from them (...money!!) but instead I opened your Malware program and 2 hours later it identified THAT program and REMOVED it from my computer. You program did a great job!!
GREAT JOB guys
Thank you.
