Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 10 minutes. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

"Great product and great service"
Pros: This product is excellent. Alas, it doesn't support my 64-bit service in all respects, though in most.
But the customer service was incredibly prompt, very helpful and courteous. I'll use it on my 32-bit computer get 64 bit version when available.Cons: Zero, though I'll wait for the 64-bit version to use on my 64-bit Vista.

"Worked great for me on every PC I tried it on."
Pros: It is a very easy program to run. But the Free one is all I have tested and would like to try the Paid one. To really know how well it works. How can I get a coupon to use to get the paid product?
Cons: It is a bit costly for what it is meant to do. I would like to see it with a much less costly Pro version.
Summary: If there was a way to get it for free as a Pro version to test the whole potential for one month I might be more willing to pay for it if I could see the benefit of paying the price they want. As I have paid for so many other software that clam one ... read more >>

Pros: It found & removed trojans etc. missed by other 'well known' brands!!!!
Cons: None found so far!
Summary: I had several viruses by-pass my up-to-date firewall etc. (through an email) and my 'well-known' anti-virus system failed to detect and remove them!

"Malwaebytes' Anti-Malware is FANTASTIC"
Pros: My system was infected Virtumonde. Macafee, Spyware Dr and Spysweeper totally ineffective. Yahoo ansers'' ilknur K suggested Malwarebytes? and VundoFix. A full system scan & restart later, Virtumonde was completely gone. Didn't have to use Vundofix.
Cons: Cons: The ONLY "negative" was it scanned too slowly.
Summary: Before I try any new "defense" program, I don't just read the reviews of the"experts". I trust the reviews of users such as yourselves.I now use ZoneAlarm, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes? Anti-Malware & CounterSpy.

Pros: Easy-to-use. Works great!
Cons: haven't found yet.
Summary: My defragmenter couldn't start and also my IE failed to start every time I tried to open it.
