Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 10 minutes. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

"Awesome Anti-Malware Program!!!"
Pros: 1. It's complete system scan is sure to find and remove any problematic virus/spyware on your system.
2. It has 4-6 database updates a day to keep your system running at its best and most secure.
3. The program is fast, efficent and free.Cons: There is nothing i dislike about this program. It saved my computer!

"I signed up just to review this."
Pros: I had the Vundo/Virtumonde trojan which was missed others. It produced tidadegi.dll and poruzuwow.dll (sp). These .dll files were trying to rewrite other .dll files on my computer. 5 stars, thumbs up and a very big thank you from me.
Cons: It hung a few times on some "Install" folders in my Windows directory but eventually restarted and completed the clean up. Don't get frustrated if it stalls. Just give it time.
Summary: It worked for me.

"NOTHING else worked for me, but MBAM came through!"
Pros: Got a nasty case of SpyWareGuard2008, couldn't install anti-malware program, browser would shut down, etc. MB tech support worked with me, via email, over several hours, got system to where I could install MBAM. It quickly cleaned up everything.
Cons: You're kidding, right? Not ONE con to this fantastic program.
Summary: Most companies don't provide half the support MB did, even AFTER you've purchased their product. I immediately bought the Full version in order to take advantage of the realtime protection.
