Version: Magix Music Maker Basic Edition 12.1.0.3
"Garage Band ist the Music Maker for Apple :-)"
Pros: Garage Band is about three to four years old. But I used Music Maker in one of the first versions, maybe 10 years ago and it was a toy, but still fun. Meanwhile, I have to say, I am really impressed. Good sounds, lot of sound effects in good quality and sounds to download (Hip Hop, Rock and some Club sounds). Everything for free. Respect Magix!
Cons: You can download the software and then, you have to download the sounds, which have 200 MB each of the three packages. As an excuse you have to say, sound content is big and must have this size.

"Nice easy and powerful composer."
Pros: Easy to use and the interface has it all.
Cons: Still working through this, but I am not sure if you can introduce your own pre-existing samples. If you can, great.

"THIS IS VERY...UHH...GROOVY!"
Pros: What I love about this product?Well everything seemingly. You can combine many audio to make a good song.Making music in this program seems sooo easy!
Cons: Allright the con about this product is,well...there are times where it lags, like it there are many audio on but still that wasn't a bother to me and probably not to you to.Hmm I also thought that maybe you can create your own song, like I thought maybe it will have a piano or something,I don't know maybe it does but anyway you can like bring your own song and put in this program and mix it up.Anyway don't really pay attention to this cons because this program actually rocks!!Trust me!!

Version: Magix Music Maker Basic Edition 12.1.0.3
Pros: The concept is easy to grasp, and the the skins are attractive. It gives you many sound loops to work with and allows you to integrate several different sources. A good software for beginners. I recomend it.
Cons: If you want more sound loops, they are VERY expensive. The software refers you to a website were you can buy them. When you are testing sounds while playing your clip, sometimes there is a lag, resulting in lots of undo's. Other then that...i recomend it.
