The "Plus" version of MEP 14 offers a multitude of video capture, editing and Disk making features. It compares well with packages costing much much more. However, MEP also requires the user to spend time and effort to get the most of its features.
Cons
There are numereous errors in the user manual, translation from German is somewhat stilted, and there are lots of features that are poorly explained or not covered at all. This is offset somewhat by an excellend forum of users helping each other...
Summary
The program offers a wide range of editing features...that can appeal to a beginning editor, who just wants to get some vacation video edited and out to the family on DVD or on the web. But MEP offers surprising depth and control over the editing experience----its a program that can offer more and more as the editor's skills increase---and at an incredible price. The program demands time to learn, and can be intimidating to computer novices...but when you discover the full power of the program you may never feel the urge to move onto Vegas Pro or Premier Pro...
