Version: Macro Scheduler 7.3.10.4
"Unbelievably Versatile, Great Support"
Pros: This is a very solid product backed by great support. I find a new use for Macro Scheduler just about every day. I didn't yet find anything that I wanted to automate that it couldn't handle - well, actually I did but the vendor listened to me and the functionality was added in the next release, can't beat that. This isn't just a simple push-the-button windows macro tool, although it does that very well, you can also create complex data and file handling routines that incorporate VBScript (I'm only scratching the surface here). You can compile scripts into distributable .exe programs with the professional version. Just amazing, never regretted purchasing this software.

Version: Macro Scheduler 7.3.10.4
"We use Macro Scheduler to run our entire company's round-the-clock reporting!"
Pros: Far more stable than any other scheduler we've ever tried.
Scripting language is surprisingly powerful; with Visual Basic added, it's awesome!
msNet allows us to provide "on-demand", remote-reporting for our customers; the first time THAT'S ever been possible, without a dedicated connection.
Macro Scheduler can kick off multiple different scripts at the same time. And, we do just that around the clock (24/7/365).
Actually, I could go on and on about the product. We've been using Macro Scheduler since early 1998.

Version: Macro Scheduler 7.3.10.4
"Rich dev. possibilities for beginners and pros alike, excellent customer support"
Pros: Before coming to Macro Scheduler, we compared several other similar software tools with higher price, and found Macro Scheduler to be the most professionally written and user friendly, and we're happy with this choice. To see the value of Macro Scheduler, I'd recommend to read their customer testimonials at mjtnet.com/index.htm?page=kudos2.html
they describe there many ways to use the software. Btw, now the possibilities are much wider.
It gives very rich, wide possibilities for development to beginners and pros alike because MS programming interface offers many 'packed' functions, where a beginner can easily, with 1 command, download a page from Internet, read/write to the registry, read/write to files, communicate with Excel files, send/receive email. Complicated functions, which take in low-level languages like C ages to develop with sockets etc., here usually take one-two commands, so it's easy to use and enables quick developing process. Not everything needs to be written, processes can be simply recorded and then become independent scripts or a basis for a more complicated workflow.
On the other hand, especially with the newly added support for loading dlls, it can embed C functionality. So it's both easy to develop and can call Windows built-in functions: mentalis.org/apilist/apilist.php
or other dlls.
Images and loading dlls let build colourful, Flash-like interfaces, even animated.
MS embeds VBScript, which lets work with regular expressions - very important. Compiled scripts contain VBScript support and can run on PCs not supporting VBScript or Macro Scheduler.
Their customer support is excellent. We had many unusual requests, and the support service was very helpful: they even wrote some code for us, and added functions *especially* by our requests. These custom functions were developed quickly, 1 day or less, without any add. fee.
I'm absolutely thrilled with this software and the customer support, and highly recommend it. It's a fantastic timesaver and much more than that.
