Macro Scheduler lets you create macros to control your Windows applications, automate software processes and assign tasks to scheduled events, desktop shortcuts or hotkeys. The Macro Scheduler script language, now supports custom dialogs, complex expressions, subroutines and array type variables. Scripts can also include Microsoft VBScript code, combining the power and ease of use of the Macro Scheduler script engine with the popular syntax of VBScript, and allowing increased flexibility and advanced OLE/ActiveX automation. Macro Scheduler saves you time by allowing you to create scripts or record macros to automate any task.
Version 7.3.05e0 fixes problem with embedded variables in macro command parameters; adds option to installer to allow alternative user macro/settings directory, compiled exes now created in source script's folder when compiling from main screen, and "Send Email Example" sample script is improved.
Pros: The interface and script editor for this program are nice, easy to understand, and the script commands are straightforward. It doesn't take long to write or record your first macro.
Cons: Your first macro doesn't do what it's supposed to, won't stop running and doing strange things, and is impossible to debug, given the debugger likes to diplay variables a command or three after they've been modified.
