From SkypeRec :MX Skype Recorder is a tool that works in conjunction with Skype (and with other VoIP applications) for recording calls. It has the following advantages: can work in automatic or manual mode, automatically compressing to MP3/WMA formats, can save as WAV PCM format, record conversations either in single or dual audio track, all versions of Skype supported, Google talk, Yahoo Messenger and other VoIP applications, user-friendly interface, etc.

Version: MX Skype Recorder 4.0.1
"A Few Minor Bugs But Works Well"
Pros: Automatically or manually record Skype calls as mp3, wma, or wav and save them in a user specified folder, bit and sampling rates can be specified through settings dialog, Virtually no learning curve... very simple, inexpensive.
Cons: Throws occasional error codes (usually when adjusting settings) which (in my case) have no negative effect on recording, have sent a few messages to tech-support and never received a reply.
Summary: Aside from a few minor bugs, i.e.; error codes that seem to have no impact on the apps functionality. This is a good solution for archiving any or all of your Skype conversations. I like that the bit and sampling rates are user adjustable. Also has ... read more >>

Version: MX Skype Recorder 4.0.1
"Very good, in general, but with some big quirks"
Pros: Good overall. Easy to use and good sound quality in recordings. Can hide the recorder easily using hotkeys.
Cons: There are error windows that pop up and disrupt everything. No one ever replies to the error reports that I send them, so I don't even bother any more. You just have to put up with error windows to use the program.
Summary: Good, but in need of some fixes. I can't believe the new version of this thing came out without the errors being corrected.
