MRJ Adapter implements a unified API for Java developers to access Mac specific functionality built into the various versions of the Apple virtual machine. The APIs provided by Apple have changed over time, with functionality being added as the VM matured, and classes and methods names changing. MRJ Adapter also provides a path for cross-platform development, so developers can integrate certain Mac specific functionality while not compromising the cross-platform nature of their application.

  • Complementary additions to the APIs built into the VM.
