Publisher's description of MPegger (formerly MPecker Encoder)
From Proteron:MPegger (formerly MPecker Encoder) is an MP3 audio encoder for the Macintosh. It supports both MPEG Layer II and Layer III (MP2 and MP3) file formats, allows you to normalize files from within the program, includes variable bitrate (VBR) encoding options, and can encode MP3s directly from SoundDesigner II and AIFF audio files. In addition, MPegger's integrated CDDB access can automatically label and archive your music collection. Version 1.1.1 fixes a crash bug with MP2 encoding.
