This application helps measure the visibility of your Web site based on the number of links to it, but the feature to launch a URL didn't work on all test machines. Link Popularity Check determines the number of Web sites that link to a user-specified Web page based on search results from Yahoo, Google, and other popular search engines. Using the program's wizard-guided interface, you'll provide the complete URL of your Web site along with the URLs of rival sites. Link Popularity Check comes with a preloaded list of popular sites like Amazon and Google, with buttons to add more URLs on the program's clear-cut main window. Link Popularity Check demonstrated good speed during testing, and each URL takes only a minute to verify. We like the color-coding scheme that the program used to indicate whether your site has limited presence or if it's one of the major players on the Web. On the downside, context-menu selection to open a Web site in a new browser didn't work on some test machines. Still, given what it offers, Web site administrators may want to forgive some minor defects and give this freeware a try.Publisher's description

"Seems like a marketing scam - just tries to entice you to buy their software"
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: So I downloaded it and ran a report. It asks you to put in your competitor's sites, then it looks like it's processing some junk, then it displays a list of your site, your competitor's sites and "major players" like Yahoo, ebay etc. Naturally your site ranks lower than the major players and the competitors. The only other tabs available are advertisements to buy IBP 10.0 software to "fix" your traffic ranking problem. This software doesn't tell me anything useful and I can't trust that it's even accurate at whatever it's trying to tell me. It could very well be a ploy.

Cons: Not sure some of the search engines provide up to date or accurate counts.
