Another great aspect of Libellus that is worth to mention is that Libellus is a greenware, which means you only need to copy the program and the database to your chosen folder and run it. No additional file is needed. So you can be sure you only put recognized files to your computer and say no to hidden files that you don't even know when it's being injected to your computer. This no-frills book collection database program suffers from a design quirk, and the majority of its features are locked during the trial. We found it strange that you must create a list of authors, publishers, and book categories before you can begin adding books to the database. But once you enter the required information, Libellus' straightforward, intuitive interface lets you quickly input information about your books, including the title and page count.
Book categories are presented in a simple tree-view list on the left side, and all of your books are shown on the right. Mark your favorite books and quickly view them in the Favorites list. The Search feature quickly finds books by title, category, publisher and ISBN, and it performed well during our tests. Unfortunately, standard print and export conveniences are only available after registration. All in all, book collectors will certainly appreciate Libellus' ease of use to organize their book collections.
