"Works well with Windows Vista, but bad customer service"

Pros
I recently had to call Lavasoft for assistance with the registry tuner and was asked if the representative could connect to my system and look around. The first thing he said after connecting and performing a few commands was that my system ran "...very quickly," which I attribute in part to the registry tuner, (and in part to my (Internet Security Suite). So, I feel it keeps my system running as clean and efficient as possible.
Cons
The reason I called Lavasoft was because I suspected that I had a couple of issues, 1) I didn't know if the reg tuner was attempting to clean the "System," and "Application" areas of the computer because I was not getting any errors there each time it ran. And, 2)I was not sure that the previous version and been fully removed since if I clicked on the "Quick Start" icon I was asked to renew my license, but, I'd done that already
The Lavasoft representative insisted that my issue was caused by conflicting software and errors on my computer that were viewed on the Error Logger, and tried to get me to buy a $398.00 maintenance package. After being threatened that my next call would require I be charged, and me knowing something about what I could do, I decided to do an uninstall and reinstall, which I would have expected the software to do on its own. I reinstalled just fine and it took my key a second time, which is what I was worried about in the first place.Summary
After the reinstall there were some errors identified in the "System," and "Application" areas and I'm satisfied that everything is running fine. But, if I can find another Registry Tuner that like as much or more than Lavasoft's I'm going to switch fast as I can.

"Suspect operation under WAindows 7"

Pros
It came "free" with Ad-Aware Pro. The undo facility worked!
Cons
After the first run of Registry Tuner, my laptop (ASUS under W7 Ultimate) kept popping up a message "Resource File <C_PsdRsDll> not found". Access to Control Panel and other applications also inhibited. First suspect was Infineron TPM but proved not guilty. Then restored the registry to the previous state, using Registry Tuner. At least that bit worked well and the problem disappeared.
Also other forum entries reporting problems running RT under Windows 7, which was what gave me the idea to restore the registry.Summary
A case of "You get what you pay for"? If the progamme hasn't been debugged under W7 this should be made clear. I'd be ropable if I'd paid $30 for it.
