Anyone who is happy flipping open the newspaper and reading a generic horoscope need not apply to Kundli for Windows. This complex program offers to focus its gaze directly on your astrological life, but you'll need a working knowledge of its terminology and practices to appreciate the program.
The program opens up as a simple wizard, with empty boxes to fill in. Along the top of the screen you will find tabs for alternating between viewing your horoscope or Match-Making. While all the terms will not be simple to understand for newcomers, filling out the boxes will be a snap. Users enter such information as their name, birthday, sex, time zone of birth, and country and city of birth. After the information is entered into Kundli, a new screen appears with your astrological rap sheet. Simple things like your sun sign are shown, along with more complex answers, such as your Tithi, Paksh, Shalivan Shak Samvat, Vikram Samvat, yog, rashi-rashi lord, and more.
While the results are incredibly in-depth, they may not be for everyone. There is little guidance into what all of these terms mean and can be overwhelming for newcomers. In addition, the trial version only uses birthdates between 1993 and 1995. However, if you are well-versed in the terminology associated with astrology, this can be a great download to provide a nice snapshot of your world.
