"Not in the same class as v. 6.1"
Version: Kodak EasyShare 6.2
Pros
Files your images in a useful way
Cons
When importing from camera, no preview images, so you can't see which imaged you're selecting. Sorting of images seems higgledy-piggledy!
Summary
It's almost impossible to select images to download as, when you choose this option, you are presented with a grid anonymous icons which are not even in the order of date created!

"Used to work better"
Version: Kodak EasyShare 6.2
Pros
Easy to use interface. Most functions are intuitive.
Cons
Has stopped working with my camera on Mac.
Summary
Easyshare for Macintosh has stopped working with my older point-and-shoot digital camera. The irony is that the camera is a Kodak product, the dual-lens V610.
I can still offload pictures from the camera using the PC version and then transfer the pictures over to the Mac but its not all that convenient. -
"Simple easy to use Photo Editor"
Version: Kodak EasyShare 6.2
Pros
Just a simple easy to use photo editor for the novice computer user to do your basic photo editing and sorting. This is the perfect program for the casual amateur photographer that just wants a basic program to edit and print their photos with.
Cons
Will do just your basic stuff. More advanced users will want Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or Adobe Photoshop CS4, though there is a steep learning curve with those programs.
Summary
My wife has been using Kodak Easy Share software on her PC since I got her a digital camera a few years ago. I recently upgraded her to a iMac and thought she could use iPhoto. She didn't like it and she is not interested in the advanced stuff you can do in Photoshop or Lightroom. She just wants something simple and easy to use and Kodak Easy Share fits the bill for her. So I downloaded the latest version that will run in Snow Leopard and it seems to work just like the PC version that she is used to. This software if perfect for the novice computer user that just wants to do your basic stuff like cropping, color correction, and brightness.
