Publisher's Description
From Ian Cook:
Kirby Alarm is a completely free alarm and task scheduler that will pop up a note, run a program, play a sound, or send an e-mail at user-defined intervals. Various options are available for setting alarms and programs to run every x minutes/hours/days/months/years, or the last Friday of the month, or the last day in the month, for example. A unique feature helps you not skip alarms, and conditional execution of an alarm can be based on the Watch File feature.

"The best alarm clock"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
Brilliant options with great schedule, no problems. Definitely my favourite

"Free...NOT!"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Cons
Great little program, but after the endless "want to register?" boxes, you click the link for your "free registration" and they want...$19.95! And if you don't pay their $19.95, you will continue to get the endless "want to register?" boxes. The program might even be worth the $20, but I can't stand bait-and-switch scams - I uninstalled the thing and will search for another program.

"Great program for special educators with mainstream students."
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
The ability to have a set timer in the class that does not need to be set every 45 minutes.
-
"no longer free and nag screen"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
It's compact and works the way described. I use the multiple alarms during the day, with both pop-ups and sounds.
Cons
The interface is a little old looking. The biggest problem is the nag screen to register the "FREE" software, which is no longer free. I am hunting a replacement.

"LOOKS GREAT BUT NO LONGER FREE"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros

Cons
I set an alarm then did a second to test it then tried a 3rd only to be told that 1st u need to register, as u can only have 2 alarms b4 registering. fine so off i went to register to find that as of the 1st june 07 it's no longer free...

"NOT FREE - Bait and Switch"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
Looks like it would be perfect for what I need but it is crippleware and I can't add reminders.
Cons
In perfect bait-and-switch fashion, this software is NOT free! It is crippleware that cannot be unlocked without a registration key that is not free.
THIS SOFTWARE NEEDS TO BE REMOVED UNTIL ITS INFORMATION AND CLASSIFICATION IS UPDATED.

"So far so good, but this "free" version no longer supported so it's not free"
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
This version now has limited support (only two alarms allowed and can no longer be registered) but for the little I tried I like it so I downloded the 30 day Pro version trial. I think this could be very useful for the things I want to do, but need more review time.
Cons
Would like to see a better way to dismiss the pop-up vs the snooze setting, and longer notes allowed.

"This program is NOT FREE."
Version: Kirby Alarm 2.1
Pros
It seems like a nice program - but it's hard to tell since you can only schedule 2 alarms.
Cons
Seems like a classic bait & switch. It requires registration to take off the alarm limit block but as of June 1 the author no longer offers a registration option for this software. The LITE version is $15 and the PRO version is $25. There is no free version.
