"Absolutely indispensable!!"

Everyone else here has already covered it. The program offers so much and everything it does is really required. There's no useless features added in to make a fancy package.
My girlfriend and I have been using the Pro version since 2007 and have become dependent on it. It keeps all our appointments, sends birthday greetings to all our friends completely on autopilot, sends reminder mails to ourselves, friends, and customers. Backs itself up to an external drive every night and does the same for MS Outlook and our accounts data. Backs up to the cloud via FTP on a weekly basis (our choice ...could be daily if wanted). Features auto-shutdown which I use regularly. What can't it do?!?!
At only $24.95 to include lifetime updates it's a steal! If you doubt that just take a peek at the competition. Oh sorry, I forgot, it doesn't have any. ;)Cons

When I first purchased this I only scratched the surface of what it was capable of doing for me. After visiting the author's forum and becoming engrossed in reading the posts there I began trying out some of the tricks other users were using it for and wow, did this program come into its own!
Who would have thought that a seemingly tiny little application written in visual basic and C++ could become a complete backup solution on autopilot?
The current version is 5.01 and has evolved considerably since I first purchased v4.45. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. :) -

i like to be able to keep my hourly / daily / weekly / annual life accessible and 'in-my-face'.i spend much time in front of my computer screen, so being able to access and control as much as possible from there is convenient and important to me.
i find new uses whenever i spend time with the program. covers the bases for scheduling. Kirby-Alarn-Pro does these things better than anything else i have found. amazingly and uniquely thorough. -

lacks variable user response to an alarm: display several buttons to perform different actions. It would also be nice to have an action delay, i.e., if the user doesn't respond in x minutes, an action is taken.

Kirby Alarm is so user friendly and easy to manuever through. Support has been more than excellent with the fastest response time ever. Ian sure knows customer service!

Summary
We depend on the alarm function for our company to meet report deadlines to the government, remind staff of important meetings and alert production staff of teleconferences with our Prime Contractor. We began with the Ian's 1.01 version, then lost it due to harddisk crash -- have since upgraded to his latest 4.45 version. We simply can't do without it!

I have been using this program for some time in school. You know when you are working hard, you may not even hear the bell rings. But a pop up note plus sound alarm really helps. Besides, questions are promptly answered. Excellent support.

It would be nice if I can use Excel to set the alarm details.

and a lot more. I've used Kirby Alarm Pro for over three years and have never encountered a bug. Features I use *dozens* of times a day are emails to be sent at future dates (repeating too: remind yourself or one or more people), launching EXE's for anything, restarting the computer. snoozing alarms on tasks you REALLY don't want to do now (you can snooze them for weeks and weeks, too), repeating events like MWF or MWTh courses in college or 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month of third Saturday of every month etc, or a huge range of recurrences, reminders with sound and bring your own sounds (volume, too) if you are away from your desk), COPYing alarms for easy reproduction or slight alteration, a valuable log if an event gets by you so you can reschedule it and just buy it.
For such an intricate product and large customer base, Ian is astonishingly responsive to suggestions for enhancements. He's back to you as his contact page says: usually within 24 hours.
No, I do not work for him. With all the hype and money billion-dollar companies get for software that doesn't work so we have to upgrade it, Ian's Kirby Alarm Pro and his other products are a hackneyed but true oasis in a desert.
Try it, you can't lose.
Cons
For no apparent reason, some sub-screens like the one to fill in a snooze time appear on far upper ends of the screen. Much easier is if it's near the bottom for less mouse movement for us lazy Americans.
