KingHanzi is a Chinese - hanzi flashcard system for learning to read and write Chinese simplified characters on the Pocket PC. It includes stroke animations for over 545 characters. It also automatically provides stroke feedback while these characters are hand-drawn with the stylus (pen). A flashcard may contain single or multiple hanzi, the romanized pronunciation (pinyin), and the English meaning. Over 30 lessons are included from the textbook 'Chinese Practical Reader I' and covers the equivalent of a first year Chinese course. Don't like the included lessons? It's possible to create your own. Additional kanji lessons can be written using the included lesson editor, Microsoft Word 2000/XP, or a Chinese word processor.

Version 6 adds the ability to show flashcards in non-random order, the start-up tips, as well as "more" button and "view" dialog for text that requires scrolling.

Pros: Great for learning characters

Cons: I wish it had audio too.
