While this easy-to-use freeware does a nice job of logging computer activity, it only will be able to stop the youngest of tykes. KidLogger has a basic interface with minimal options that only allow you to open logged files or disable the program. The program will record accessed applications, documents, and files, and it also will log keystrokes and typed URLs. But unlike some full-fledged monitoring suites, it can't actually block certain programs or Web pages. In our tests, the program worked fine, but alas it can't be password-protected. Therefore, we were easily able to unistall it via the Start menu, and we suspect many savvier kids would do the same thing. If you have very young children but not much cash, KidLogger might suffice, but most parents will desire a more secure solution.Publisher's Description

KidLogger is a simple open-source keylogger program. It's designed for home and family users, and to keep watch on children's (two to seven years) activity on the computer. It can log all Web sites visited, chatrooms talks, started programs, opened documents, and viewed pictures and movies. Its features include support for multiple users, periodic screen-shot capture in JPEG, log inactivity time, log active path from File Explorer, log copy\paste, USB drive insertions, log\logoff events, automatic log cleaning. Plus password protection feature, and portable logger option. Now you can log active URL from any web browser. Improved logging: time of login, inactivity time, log active path of File Explorer. Added automatic log history clean. Updated source code included. Log files can be sent by e-mail or our web service.
What's new in this version: Version 5.6.5 improves log files delivery. Minor bug fixing.
