Keychain collectors looking for a collection database may be turned off by some of the jingles and jangles they encounter with this one. This database application tracks and catalogs your keychain collections, but Keychain Collector has several functionality issues to address.
The program's easy-to-use yet amateurish interface resembles this publisher's other collection-management programs, and it even has the same misspelled labels of "aquire." Keychain Collector tracks usual details, including name, address and date acquired, country and year of origin, materials, purchase cost, and value. It was easy enough for us to add, edit, or clear records, and we could also specify if we wanted to keep or trade items. Oddly, there's no delete option.
Entering info into the program worked fine, but things went downhill from there. The search feature didn't display any results, and the sort feature only managed to rearrange the sequence of records. Moreover, we were able to export records in HTM, TXT, and XLS formats, but results were unimpressive.
This trial version has a 10-record trial limit, though we were able to create more records than advertised. With an overall spotty performance and aesthetically unpleasing design, Keychain Collector isn't going to turn many heads.
