Publisher's description of KeePass Password Safe 0.93b
From Dominik Reichl:You need passwords for the Windows network logon, your e-mail account, your home page's FTP functionality, and other Web sites, since you should be using different passwords for each. KeePass Password Safe is an open-source program that helps you manage your passwords securely. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key disk, so you only have to remember one password or insert the key disk to unlock the database. The databases are encrypted using the best and most secure encryption algorithms currently known (AES and Twofish). Version 0.98a may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: KeePass Password Safe 0.93b
"It also works with yor PenDrive"
Pros: Maybe this is no Roboform, but RoboForm is limited unles you pay for it. This software, Keepass is free and does a lot. I have lot of passwords to remember and I always keep forgetting them. With Keypass I now keep them in my PC and my PenDrive for my benefit. To install in your Pendrive just change the installation path to your USB device and don't "create a desktop icon" for it.
Cons: None.

"The best mobile password program."
Pros: Quick to setup and extremely quick to use, due to shortcut keys. Works well on a USB drive. Does not need to be installated to use. Feature packed - Can generate radom passwords for your use, clears the clipboard after 10 seconds, among other features.
Cons: It will open the same file if you run it two copies of the program simultaneously. Can be fixed by changing the configuration to allow only one copy of the program at a time.

Version: KeePass Password Safe 0.93b
"The ultimate "keychain" - highly recommended!"
Pros: This is the ultimate password manager that goes well beyond just managing passowrds. Even though it is packed with features, it keeps being simple and easy to use.
The main feature is the encryption support and apparently (I have not conducted a research here) it has a very strong encryption.
Among its special benefits:
1. Stable, slick and comfortable UI
2. There's a free PocketPC (iPAQ) version for this program
3. Allows attaching a note and a file to an entry
4. The program is developed as an open source project so you get much better security (you can see what's inside)
5. Very flexible password generator with a feedback on the strength of the password you choose.
6. Can be placed on a USB flash disk - no installation is required
7. Offers grouping of accounts (even hierarchy).
8. Auto-lock after use
9. Ability to drag username/password. This can help protect against keystroke loggers (though not entirely).

"Whoops...wasn't what I was looking for...."
Pros: At least it stored passwords.
Cons: I don't like the help file-it doesn't cover how to use KeePass. Also, if it could automatically fill in forms like Roboform, then I would've liked using it. Of course, that was my own blindness to the name of the program-PASSWORD SAFE. I forgot that it was just a place to keep passwords, not for filling out and storing passwords!

Version: KeePass Password Safe 0.93b
Pros: This is the best password manager i've seen in my long search. It combines all the strengths of those i've tried and evaluated. If has features like password organization, shortcuts and auto-logins. The UI is simple yet strong. Best of all, it's free!
Cons: I don't see one.
