Also known as Cross Sums or Kakro, Kakuro is a fun logic puzzle game in the same genre as Sudoku. With Kakuro Epic, you can generate kakuro puzzles on your own computer. Just choose the size and difficulty. You can also enter puzzles from newspapers and have the assistant help you solve them for you. Game sizes: 6x6, 7x7, 9x9, 12x12, and 14x14. You can set difficulty settings from easy to hard.
The assistant can help you with markup and revealing numbers, allowing you to focus on the fun part. Additionally you can store puzzles and continue solving them at a later time.

"Same genre as Soduku, but a lot harder"

Pros
HELP options. One, of which ,is for random cells. Another 'help' option is for specific cells. The latter is best used when you are really lost and simply cannot move forward. Both options are, as far as I know, would be great additions to any Soduku software.
Cons
Not much.
